Both packages are straightforward, fairly priced, and designed to deliver exactly what you need — nothing bloated, nothing unnecessary. A clean, elegant website that represents you well and works hard to attract the right clients.

Full site ownership is always included. No ongoing fees to us, no lock-in, and no surprises. Squarespace hosting fees apply separately, starting from approximately $25 AUD per month, or less on an annual plan.

So What’s the Process?

Ownership Transfer

Transferring ownership of your Squarespace website is a simple but essential step. Until this process is complete, your site remains under my developer account, and you won’t be able to manage billing, domains, or site-wide settings. Here’s exactly how it works:

  1. You will receive an email

    You’ll receive an email from Squarespace inviting you to join your website as an Admin.

  2. Accept the Invitation

    Click “Accept Invitation” in the email. You’ll be prompted to log in to Squarespace.

    1. If you already have an account, simply log in.

    2. If you’re new to Squarespace, you’ll need to create a free account—it only takes a minute.

  3. I’ll Transfer Ownership to You

    Once you’ve accepted the invite and logged in, I will update your role from Admin to Site Owner.

  4. Confirmation Message

    After the change, you’ll receive a confirmation message in your Squarespace dashboard verifying that you are now the Site Owner.

  5. You’re in Control

    As the official owner of your site, you now have full access to:

    • Manage billing and subscriptions

    • Register or connect a domain

    • Add or remove contributors

    • Update content and design

Billing and Ongoing Cost

After your website is launched and ownership is transferred, you'll be responsible for the ongoing costs required to keep your website and domain active.

The billing information does not change automatically. It’s critical that you update your payment details under Settings → Billing & Account.

This applies to both your Squarespace subscription and domain registration (if applicable). Keeping outdated billing info can cause accidental charges or site deactivation.

Squarespace Plans and Domains

Squarespace offers a range of website subscription plans tailored to different business needs—from basic brochure-style websites to full-featured eCommerce platforms.

You can choose between:

  • Monthly billing, which offers flexibility and is charged once per month

  • Annual billing, which provides a discount and includes additional perks (see below)

✅ You can switch between monthly and annual billing or change plan types at any time
✅ Subscription payments are required to keep your website live after the free trial ends

Once you're the Site Owner, you’ll need to enter your billing details and activate the subscription that best suits your needs. Your Squarespace account will then manage all future charges.
