Which payment methods do you accept?
Crimson Silk Studio accepts bank transfer, PayID, and PayPal. Payment is due upon completion before your site is handed over to you. Alternative payment options can be discussed if required.
What is the payment schedule?
Payment is simple — nothing is due until your website is complete and you're happy with the result. Full payment is required before ownership is transferred to you.
This means you can see exactly what you're getting before spending a cent. Once the final balance is cleared, full ownership transfers to you immediately.
Why are your prices lower than other web designers?
rimson Silk Studio uses Squarespace — a premium template-based platform — rather than custom-coded solutions like WordPress. Every site is fully customised to suit your brand, photos, and personality. I don't simply pick a template and fill in the blanks.
Because I'm not spending time on complex coding, turnaround is faster and costs are lower — and the end result is a beautiful, professional website that's genuinely easy for you to maintain yourself. From the portfolio you can get a clear sense of what's possible within this platform.
Can you help if English isn't my first language?
Absolutely. Regardless of which package you choose, I'll read through all your content and correct any typos or awkward phrasing as part of the process. Your website reflects my work too — so attention to detail matters to me. If you need extra help beyond basic corrections, biography copywriting is available as an add-on.
Do I have full ownership of my website once it's live?
Completely. Once your site is launched, full ownership is transferred to you. You'll have your own Squarespace login, complete editing access, and total control — no ongoing reliance on me for anything.
If you'd prefer help with updates after launch, I'm available for paid post-launch edits — but there's absolutely no obligation to use me. The site is yours to manage however you choose.
Why choose Squarespace over a custom built website?
Simple — it's far easier for you to maintain. Custom built platforms like WordPress, while powerful, can be difficult to navigate without technical knowledge. This usually results in having to pay someone every time you want to make even minor changes — rewording a sentence, updating your rates, adding a photo.
With Squarespace, you can handle all of that yourself in minutes. No technical skills required.
Should I purchase a domain before we start?
No — I'd recommend waiting until your site is complete and ready to launch. At that point, I'll transfer the login to you and walk you through choosing your Squarespace plan and attaching your domain. Done this way, your domain connects and goes live immediately.
Purchasing a domain through a third-party provider beforehand can create unnecessary delays — moving a domain to Squarespace can take up to 90 days due to transfer waiting periods. If you already have an existing domain you'd like to use, let me know and I'll send through instructions on how to move it across.
What will my website look like?
Every website is designed to flow with your photos and overall aesthetic. If you have something specific in mind — a colour palette, a reference site, a particular vibe — let me know before we start and I'll factor that in.
Once the first draft is complete, I'll ask what you'd like changed. Don't hold back — I want you to be genuinely happy with the result.
Should I purchase a domain before we start?
None from Crimson Silk Studio. The only additional costs are Squarespace's own hosting fees, which are billed directly between you and Squarespace — starting from approximately $25 AUD per month, or less on an annual plan.
